Original letter. Written in Pittsburgh. Congratulates Chandler and his wife Grace on the birth of their daugher Florence, with many blessings and witticisms, mostly revolving around the joke of "P." as a name. Benade gives a whole list of names, real and invented, including reference to her grandfather Peleg, and refers to himself as Florence's "Uncle P." Requests that his copy of Conjugial Love be bound in a deep ruby red, the color of love. Asks if Chandler wishes to go into the liquor business with Tafel. Inquires after Chandler's health, and remarks on very mild winter Pittsburgh has had. People and places mentioned: Grace Chandler; Florence Chandler; Tafel; 22 Fredsgatan, Stockholm, Sweden; and Holcombe's In Both Worlds
