    Original letter. Written in Pittsburgh. Expresses heartfelt New Year's sentiments and gratitude for a gift received. Remarks on the improved state of his household and personal life, and on the Chandlers' expectation of a new baby this year--tells him to tell Cleve (Chandler's eldest) to be "steady" in view of coming events. Refers to Tafel's article in the Swedish Periodical. Mentions a (possible) postponement of the lithographic copies of Swedenborg's Theological Works, M.S.S. People and organizations mentioned: the Lord, Tafel, the English Committee, Hartman, Lippincott, Cleve (Ceave Chandler).
